About the Program
Tipalti will waive the platform fees for our payables automation product for one year (from the point of account approval). Implementation, transaction and other fees still apply.
To qualify, organizations will be subject to compliance review and must meet the following requirements:
- Be an association, guild, or trade group
- Registration as a 501c(3)
- Be headquartered in the USA
- Need to disburse aid to its members

What does Tipalti do to ensure funds are going to the right place?
Tipalti is a licensed money transmitter and in order to maintain our compliance and ability to work with our banking partners (JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo), we are required to ensure both the payor companies we work with are fully screened and payees are checked against international blacklists. Tipalti receives and maintains a third-party audit certification for AICPA SSAE 16 SOC and ISAE 3402 Type II. For additional protection to mitigate payment risk, we also have automated software that flags for suspicious payments attempted through our platform and can hold funds to any payee.
Is it safe for my members to provide their personal and bank data through Tipalti?
Yes. Our systems and processes have to meet the same compliance standards as most banks. All digital interaction is SHA256-encrypted. Not only is this digital process more accurate than email or a paper form, but it is also safer and more secure for all parties involved. In addition, payees may be required to provide a second authentication method when entering the platform (such as an access code sent to a mobile phone). This adds a layer of protection when logging into their account. Again, Tipalti is used by major companies individually performing hundreds of thousands of transactions a month.
What other benefits are afforded to payees?
Beyond reliable payments, payees on Tipalti have the ability to choose their own payment method (depending on what the payor has enabled). For example, they can be paid through a paper check, US ACH (direct deposit), Global ACH (eCheck/SEPA), wire transfer, or PayPal—transaction fees may apply. Payees will also receive proactive notification of payment through email, they’ll be alerted to issues if their bank rejects their payment, and they can log in to the portal 24×7 to see payment status or update bank details. They can also complete their W-9 tax reporting forms online.
