Data Security
Based on best-in-class cloud standards, Tipalti is SSAE 18 SOC compliant and ISAE 3402 (SOC1) and ISAE 3000 (SOC2) Type II certified. All data is collected and transmitted securely over HTTPS and personally identifiable information is stored encrypted using AES, the same level of encryption trusted by industry leaders such as Amazon and PayPal. Tipalti utilises multi-factor authentication and IP restrictions for additional controls and peace of mind. We also undergo regular audits and penetration testing to ensure the security and safety of all customer data and funds.
Disaster Recovery (DR)
Following industry-standard best practices, the database is automatically backed up every four hours and the entire system image is backed up daily. To protect against loss, a secondary environment is offsite in another location so we can restore with minimal disruption in case of disaster. Processes are continually tested and optimised to ensure the highest level of service.
Role-Based Security and Audit Logs
Tipalti’s role-based account access security model grants granular view, create, add, edit, and control permissions, with 20+ options to customise. Access to information is segregated by roles and system administrators determine what users can see and do. Comprehensive audit trails track payer and payee activity in the system for complete visibility and record-keeping.
