Meliore Foundation, a Belgium-based nonprofit organization focused on advancing climate initiatives globally, struggled to navigate the complexities of cross-border transactions, multi-currency payments, and varying tax and banking requirements. 

 A five-person finance team was tasked with managing multi-country operations of over 700 staff, vendors, and grantees. 

Before implementing Tipalti, Meliore Foundation relied on a combination of systems, including Yokoy and NetSuite, both of which required labor-intensive processes to finalize payment batches. Invoices arrived via email, underwent repeated manual checks, and had to be uploaded into multiple platforms.

This integration eliminated the need for manual file exports and reduced the risk of human error. Tipalti’s self-service portals streamlined vendor and grantee onboarding, while its AI-powered invoice scanning enhanced efficiency across the finance team.

This automated workflow replaced the labor-intensive processes of the past, enabling Meliore Foundation to manage payments for grantees, external partners, and global consultants through weekly payment batches.
