What payment methods do you support?

Depending on the country, Tipalti supports 50+ payment methods and is always adding more options. These include ACH (automated clearinghouse), wire transfer, Global ACH (eCheck), PayPal, and live paper cheques. 

While payers can determine which methods are made available, the payee has the advantage of choosing the method that works best for them.

What countries can you pay to?

Tipalti can pay in the local currency of over 200+ countries and territories. Sending in local currency improves the payee experience by offering Tipalti customers the additional convenience of ready-to-use funds when receiving payments, without the hassle or fees involved with going to a bank to convert Canadian dollars into local funds.

Do you connect with my bank directly for payments?

Tipalti does not directly connect to your bank for payments. Instead, it facilitates payments through its own secure network as a globally licensed and regulated money transmitter. You will fund a dedicated Tipalti virtual account that can power global payments across 200+ countries and territories in over 120 currencies, using 50+ payment methods. Tipalti helps you centrally manage all of your payments from a single platform.

How does Tipalti ensure the security of my data?

For payees accessing the system, Tipalti utilizes Two-Factor Authentication (TFA): a knowledge factor (the username and password to access the payee dashboard on the payer’s website) with the possession factor (the payee‘s mobile phone to receive a validation PIN).

The payer dashboard utilizes SSL, along with the username and password. In addition, role-based access grants view, create, add, edit, and control permissions accordingly. User reviews always remark at the level of security the platform offers.

Do you charge a user license fee?

Tipalti grants unlimited user access across our plans. Our pricing is instead generally based on the number of invoices/payments processed, features included (such as tax compliance, currency conversion, and fraud protection), and currency conversion. Some of our modules might have a team size limit, but we don’t charge a fee per user seat.
