Prior to Tipalti, Rob served as VP, Global Marketing Programs at NetSuite, the leading provider of cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, helping to guide the company through 10X+ revenue growth, from a private company through IPO, to cloud ERP market leader. Previously, Rob held a variety of executive roles at Intuit QuickBooks and GE Capital.

Finance Automation Award

The Finance Automation award celebrates customers who have transformed their finance operations through automating and improving finance processes.

North America Winner: Centerfield

Centerfield is a leading digital marketing and customer acquisition platform that serves Fortune 100 brands. The company helps 25% of Fortune 100 brands acquire more customers from digital media at scale, reaching more than 150 million in-market shoppers annually through its proprietary Dugout™ Platform.

Alex Horton, a Controller at Centerfield, has been an early adopter of Tipalti solutions, continuously automating finance functions across the organization. Centerfield utilizes accounts payable and mass payment workflows in Tipalti and has since expanded to include Expenses, Pay By Card, and Tipalti Cards. 

Notably, Alex has used Tipalti to move funds to Centerfield’s Jamaican subsidiary through a custom payeeFX workflow. Tipalti has helped Centerfield achieve significant foreign exchange savings compared to traditional banking methods.

Europe/UK Winner: ITB-MED

ITB-MED is a pioneering biopharmaceutical company developing specific immunomodulatory biologics for transplantation, autoimmunity, neurodegenerative diseases, and gene therapy. Its lead candidate drug, Siplizumab, has shown significant potential in transforming the lives of organ transplant patients.

Since implementing Tipalti, ITB-MED has saved an estimated €80,000–€160,000 annually. Despite major growth in both transaction volume and vendor complexity, Anna-Karin Lindblad, Associate Director of Finance and Treasury, notes that the finance team has managed it all without increasing headcount

With Tipalti, ITB-MED has saved over 500 hours annually by automating invoice processing, supplier onboarding, tax form collection, and global payments—all while reducing manual errors by over 90%.

Finance Innovation Award

The Finance Innovation Award celebrates customers who are leveraging Tipalti’s latest innovations to achieve great outcomes.

North America Winner: Ontra

Trusted by more than 1,000 global GPs, investment banks, law firms, and advisors—including nine of the top ten PEI-ranked firms worldwide—Ontra helps firms focus on what’s important.

Brian Hund, Accounting Manager at Ontra, has leveraged Tipalti’s innovative features to transform the company’s accounts payable operations. Processing over 1,000 invoices monthly with just a two-person AP team, Ontra utilizes Tipalti’s automated coding tool, which saves 5–10 minutes per invoice by automatically applying correct coding. 

Tipalti’s automatic rule-based approval workflows have eliminated duplicate payments entirely and accelerated Ontra’s month-end close by three business days.

Europe/UK Winner: Plastribution

Plastribution is the UK’s leading distributor of thermoplastic raw materials. As a multi-division company, the company delivers material solutions through specialized business units that focus on key markets and applications. 

With support from Zoe Bennett and Rosanna Bryan, Plastribution implemented Tipalti in January 2023, marking a transformative shift for its finance team. The implementation has virtually eliminated manual entry, significantly reduced invoice processing time, and freed staff for more strategic, value-added tasks. 

Tipalti has streamlined payment approvals and batch processing while providing improved reporting and forecasting capabilities through AP Aging reports, supplier reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.

Mass Payment Award

The Mass Payment award recognizes customers who have impacted their digital business outcomes through improved payee management and scaling global payouts.

North America Winner: Vydia

Vydia is a leading music and audio technology platform that helps artists and labels distribute and monetize their content globally. The company operates in the rapidly evolving music industry, providing comprehensive services for digital content management and distribution.

According to Purvi Shah and Li Zhang from Vydia’s Finance and Legal team, Tipalti has transformed Vydia’s complex, error-prone royalty and advance payouts into a seamless, reliable process. 

Vydia’s finance team now executes dependable monthly disbursements to hundreds of global artists and labels, reducing errors, delays, and manual workload while enhancing reporting clarity and providing real-time visibility.

Europe/UK Winner: Honeygain

Honeygain operates as an innovative online marketplace in Europe that enables users to monetize their internet connection. The platform represents a new generation of sharing economy businesses focused on data and connectivity.

Since implementing Tipalti, Honeygain has significantly reduced manual payment tasks and scaled global payouts without adding headcount. Sandra KrikštaponytÄ—, the Product Director at Honeygain, highlights how Tipalti has improved accuracy and compliance while ensuring GDPR compliance. 

KrikštaponytÄ— particularly emphasizes Tipalti’s collaborative approach, noting how the team is “hungry for feedback” and even invited customers from different countries for in-person feedback sessions.

Tipalti Insider Hero Award

The Tipalti Insider Hero Award recognizes finance professionals for their mentoring, leadership, and achievements in their organization or community.

North America Winner: Thematic

Thematic is a creative community and music technology company. By combining innovative technology with community-driven insights, Thematic makes it easy for creators to pick the right music, and every play introduces artists to new fans.

Audrey Marshall, Co-Founder and COO of Thematic, exemplifies the vision and impact celebrated by this award. Through her strategic leadership and adoption of Tipalti, she streamlined operations—turning a process that once took days into one that now takes just about an hour. 

This efficiency has allowed Thematic to focus on what matters most: serving and nurturing its creator community, which has grown organically to over 1 million creators worldwide.

Europe/UK Winner: Vivino

Vivino is the world’s largest wine community and marketplace, connecting wine lovers with wineries and retailers globally. The Vivino platform combines technology with wine expertise to help users discover and purchase wines.

Vivino transformed its global, multi-entity finance operations by automating invoice approvals and payments with Tipalti, drastically reducing manual work. This freed up valuable time for its finance team, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives like treasury management and accelerating financial close. As Vivino’s Global Corporate Controller, Rebecca Simmons noted, “[With Tipalti], there’s way less time being spent on AP. It has freed up time to be smarter about treasury and currency, and it has also enabled us to close faster because we’re not scrambling to get invoices submitted.” With nearly 98% vendor adoption, Vivino now boasts real-time visibility into global payments and the agility to focus on strategic growth.

All My Children Daycare & Nursery School

All My Children Daycare & Nursery School is a $50 million nonprofit with 20+ locations across New York and Pennsylvania. It provides early childhood education for children ages 6 months to 5 years.

Facing an 18-month invoice backlog and manual smartsheet processes that created operational bottlenecks, the company implemented Tipalti’s AI-powered platform to eliminate the entire backlog and establish a 30-day invoice cycle. 

With 90% automated coding and 95% ACH payments, All My Children Daycare & Nursery School reduced AP staffing to less than one FTE while meeting strict NYC Department of Education audit requirements.

GumGum

GumGum is a contextual-first technology leader transforming digital advertising with AI-powered, non-invasive data and media solutions. The company champions effective advertising that uplifts and respects consumers. The company’s proprietary Contextual, Attention, and Creative solutions create the perfect match between a brand and a consumer in the right moment and mindset.

GumGum achieved significant gains in both scalability and operational efficiency with Tipalti’s AP and mass payments automation solutions. The AP team successfully expanded its capabilities across nine entities and multiple currencies while maintaining compliance with tax and payment regulations. Despite its rapid growth, GumGum avoided the need to hire additional team members to support its complex operations. Tipalti helped GumGum process an impressive increase in payments, quadrupling in USD transactions in three years.

Houston Dynamo FC

Houston Dynamo FC is a professional soccer club and two-time MLS Cup champion that plays at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas.

Struggling with manual PO management and decreasing internal department buy-in to its current PO process, Houston Dynamo FC implemented Tipalti Procurement to streamline purchases across the organization. 

Since the change, the club has seen invoice processing time decrease significantly, and the month-end close process has become more efficient as Tipalti is able to provide clear, well-structured exports that are easy to process into the club’s current ERP system.

Lantern Community Services

Lantern Community Services is a non-profit providing support for New Yorkers moving forward from homelessness, managing 600–700 monthly invoices with persistent Sage ERP integration challenges.

Implementing Tipalti’s comprehensive AP solution delivered 80% faster reconciliation and a 60% reduction in administrative workload, dramatically accelerating monthly close. New hires become proficient within one week, enabling the organization to scale its mission-critical work without expanding finance headcount.

Physitrack

Physitrack is a global digital healthcare provider serving 100,000+ healthcare professionals across 102 countries with remote patient engagement and telehealth solutions.

Operating across multiple European entities with different compliance requirements, Physitrack implemented Tipalti’s centralized platform to reduce payment processing from two days to hours—a 75% reduction. Automated invoice matching with NetSuite and transparent audit trails enabled rapid scaling while maintaining compliance across regions.

Tidan

Tidan Hospitality & Real Estate Group owns more than 40 revenue-producing properties as well as 12 highly regarded hotels and one of the largest tennis clubs in North America.

The organization implemented Tipalti’s Procurement and Accounts Payable solutions and simultaneously transformed its operations, automating purchase order management and invoice processing. This modernization enabled Tidan to achieve a faster month-end close and reduce staffing costs by eliminating manual bottlenecks and paper invoices. The finance team now processes invoices continuously, dedicating freed-up time to stronger financial controls and strategic oversight.
